Seawolves take two from Drexel before break.

This past weekend your 14th ranked Seawolves competed in a home and home series against the unranked Drexel University Dragons. Friday night the scoring started early after a goal scored by Junior forward Mathew Crockett after banging in the rebound off of a slap shot from Frank Sherding. Sluggish play from the Seawolves through two periods had the game tied 2-2 with the second goal coming from Senior defenseman Michael Cartwright. The Seawolves found their second gear in the third period by scoring three unanswered goals to win 5-2. The “Hard-Hat” player of the game was awarded to Sophomore Forward Eli Lynn who scored a goal and played a solid two way game to help the Seawolves to victory.
Saturday night the Seawolves faced off against Drexel University again but this time at home. It was not until half way through the game when the Seawolves found their game. Stony Brook scored six goals all coming from Stemke, Benyamini, Coscia, Linker, Osowski, and Sherding. That was the last game of the semester before the Seawolves depart for the holiday season. On behalf of all of us we wish everyone a great holiday and a Happy New Year! We look forward to seeing you at our next home game on Saturday, January 7th at 8:30pm and Sunday January 8th at 3:30pm against division rival, the Liberty University Flames. All home games are played at The Rinx located at 660 Terry road, Hauppauge, NY.
