This coming weekend will be the Seawolves last home games of the year. On Saturday night at 8 pm the Seawolves will face off against Drexel University and on Sunday at 3 pm they will face off against Lehigh University. If the Seawolves win both games they would clinch an automatic bid to their 11th consecutive ACHA National Tournament appearance. On Saturday the team will also be honoring three graduating seniors, Captain Chris Ryan, Captain Peter Zarrella and Bryan Elfant. In addition the team will also be announcing this years Anthony Fronzoni III Endowed Scholarship award winner. Anthony was a member of the Ice Hockey Team from 2000-2005 and is one of Stony Brook's all time leading scorers. He will always be remembered as an outstanding athlete, but beyond that he will be remembered as a great person and friend. Anthony passed away in a car accident on Sunday, October 1, 2006. The Anthony Fronzoni III Scholarship is awarded annually to a Stony Brook University student who displays outstanding academic excellence preferably in biology or a health care services related field and has made significant contributions to the Ice Hockey Program at Stony Brook University as a player, manager, coach, club member or supporter. So put on your Stony Brook reds one last time for the 2010-2011 season and come down to support the best college hockey program on Long Island.
