Seawolves are Buddies for the day at Miracle League game!

This past Saturday the Seawolves hockey team participated in The Miracle League of Long Island’s baseball game at Bald Hill Park in Farmingville, NY. The Miracle League of Long Island was created in 2010 by Executive Director and Founder, Kristine Fitzpatrick. This foundation is dedicated to providing children with special needs the opportunity to play baseball. The backbone of this program is the BUDDY system; which stands for, Because Unbelievable Dedication Deserves YOU! The Buddies help the players hit the ball and navigate around the bases. While in the outfield, they play and socialize with the players and keep them safe from baseballs. The Stony Brook Seawolves hockey team had a phenomenal time participating as Buddies for the day, we would like to thank The Miracle League of Long Island for allowing us to be a part of this special event. The Seawolves look forward to next year’s big game with their friends at The Miracle League of Long Island!
