Seawolves Captain, JT Hall and team USA go for Gold in Kazakhstan!

The 22-man roster for the U.S. Men’s National University Team that will compete in the 2017 Winter World University Games from Jan. 28-Feb. 8 in Almaty, Kazakhstan, was revealed by USA Hockey this past week. It is with great pleasure to announce Seawolves Captain; JT Hall has been selected to represent the United States in the World University games! Since joining the Seawolves back in 2012, Hall has had a tremendous impact on the success of our program. Stated by Head Coach, Chris Garofalo “JT is one of those guys who had to work for everything he has. He never complains about anything, and is ready to battle every game.” With that being said it was a no brainer for the Seawolves to select Hall assistant captain in his sophomore year where he helped lead the Seawolves into the final game of the national tournament. The following year Hall was unanimously selected Captain by his teammates and coaches where he led Stony Brook back to the final four in the National Tournament. Senior defenseman Michael Cartwright said “I’ve had the pleasure of playing with JT since he was 8 years old. It is unbelievable to watch him grow in to the player he is and even a better teammate. There is nobody more deserving for this opportunity than JT.” Last season JT was not only selected team MVP but also player of the year for the ACHA. JT has a career total of 147 points in 84 games. The Seawolves want to wish Hall and the rest of the USA Team good luck and safe travels as they head to Kazakhstan at the end of January to play for Gold!
