Seawolves look to bounce back after splitting two weekends in a row!

The first game against the 10th ranked, Liberty Flames this past weekend the Seawolves net minder, Brendan Jones had a stellar game saving 41 of the 42 shots on goal earning him the star of the game for Stony Brook. Senior Vinny Lopes tallied the first goal for the Seawolves in the third period and assisted Sophomore, Joe Bochichio on the second. To seal the game Stony Brook put the Flames away on the Power Play with a goal from Ryan Cotcamp. The Seawolves went on to win the game 3-1.
The second game of the weekend the Flames jumped out in front of the Seawolves 3-0 after the first period. In the second period, Stony Brook battled back to within one of the Flames until Liberty capitalized on a power play making it 5-3 going into the third period. In the third period, the Seawolves were plagued by penalties and inevitably lost the game 8-4.
The Seawolves sit at a 13-3 record and head to Pennsylvania this weekend to take on the West Chester University Rams. The past two meetings, Stony Brook won both games in convincing fashion and hope to do the same this weekend.
