Seawolves seek first National Title this weekend!

This Friday Stony Brook will be competing to win the elusive national championship as they travel to Cleveland, OH for the 2014-2015 National Tournament. This will be the fifteenth time the Seawolves have made the tournament in the past sixteen years. Stony Brook has come very close to winning a national title but have yet to raise the Al Murdoch Cup. Going to the semi-finals last year only to lose to Arizona State by a goal, losing in the finals in 2002-2003 and losing again in the semi-finals in 2003-2004.

After speaking to Head Coach, Chris Garofalo he is very optimistic with his teams chances to win the last game of the 2014-2015 season and raise the Al Murdoch Cup in Ohio. As though he should be with the majority of his roster are returners from the heartbreaking loss they suffered last year against ASU in the semi-final game of the national tournament. Be sure to cheer on the Seawolves this weekend in their mission to bring the first national championship title home to Stony Brook! The seawolves first game will be Saturday night at 7:00 pm against the University of Rhode Island. All games can be watched on fasthockey.com. Go Seawolves!
