Every year just before the school year starts the Seawolves hockey team and Stony Brook Ice Girls participate in The League of Yes, Long Island’s baseball game at Bald Hill Park in Farmingville, NY. The League of Yes Long Island, was created in 2010 by Executive Director and Founder, Kristine Fitzpatrick. This foundation is dedicated to providing children with special needs the opportunity to play baseball. The backbone of this program is the BUDDY system; which stands for, Because Unbelievable Dedication Deserves YOU! The Buddies help the players hit the ball and navigate around the bases. While in the outfield, they socialize with the players and ensure they enjoy all aspects of the game. This past year was a great event and the Seawolves look forward to seeing their BUDDY’s on Sunday.
Come down to cheer on the Seawolves and donate to a great cause! Go Seawolves!!
