Coscia signs with Evansville Thunderbolts

Former Seawolves defenseman Frank Coscia has signed a professional tryout contract with the Evansville Thunderbolts of the Southern Professional Hockey League. The deal adds Coscia to the roster for the remainder of the Thunderbolts’ season.

Coscia, who won an ESCHL championship with the Seawolves in 2016, finished his Stony Brook Hockey career with 103 points. Coscia led all Seawolves defensemen in goal scoring in three of his four seasons, lighting the lamp 55 times over a span of 130 career games.

Evansville, now in its third season since joining the league in 2016, has not qualified for the 2019 SPHL playoffs. The team has two games remaining in its regular season schedule against the Quad City Storm this Friday, April 5 and Saturday, April 6. Both games will be played on the road and begin at 7:10 p.m.
