The Seawolves traveled to the University of Rhode Island to take on the Rams this past weekend. On Friday night Stony Brook jumped out to a commanding lead, going into the second period up 5-1. The Rams battled back scoring two goals in the second and two in the third. However the Seawolves answered with three goals of their own in the second and one more in the third beating Rhode Island by a final score of 9-5. Star of the game went to defenseman Dalton Gilbert for his stellar defensive play and registering four assists on the night.
Saturday night’s game was a much tighter game then the night before as the two teams went back and forth in scoring. That is until the third period, when the Seawolves blew the game open scoring four unanswered goals. Stony Brook finished the season sweep against the Rams by the score of 7-3. The star of the game for the Seawolves was forward Justin Lazalde with two goals and two assists.
The Seawolves will hit the ice at home this Saturday night at 8:30pm and Sunday afternoon at 3:30pm against the Lebanon Valley College Dutchmen at THE RINX, 660 Terry rd. Hauppauge, NY. Go Seawolves!!
