With a final record of 30-3-2 and a fourth consecutive league title, the Seawolves finished off their season this past week at the ACHA National Tournament in Bensenville, Ill. Stony Brook was defeated by the Iowa State Cyclones in the semi-final game, 2-1. The Seawolves put up a valiant effort against the Cyclones but Iowa State’s hot goaltender and stifling team defense was too much for the Seawolves. This marks the third year in a row Stony Brook has advanced to at least the final four in the tournament. Last year the Seawolves advanced to the National Championship game but fell to the University of Central Oklahoma. The final rankings put Stony Brook 3rd in the country going into next year! The Seawolves want to thank all of the fans for their support throughout the season and look forward to seeing you next season!
