In a few short days the crisp fall air will descend upon Long Island, and the Stony Brook Seawolves are preparing for the 2018-2019 upcoming season. Head Coach, Chris Garofalo told us after this past Thursday night’s practice “I’m excited for another year. We look to pick up where we left off and get back to our winning tradition. We had another off season with a lot of turnover in all positions, which includes our Captain and one of the top defenseman in the country, Frank Sherding. Although an elite player like Frank is very hard to replace, I was happy to see quite a few veterans did the right things during the off season and the new players that came in look like they will give us the added depth and size we needed.”
The Seawolves will open the season at home against William Patterson University on Saturday, October 6th at 8:30pm at The Rinx in Hauppauge and Sunday afternoon at 3:30 pm. Saturday night is Opening night along with Canine Companions night. All donations will go to the Seawolves four legged friends. Sunday afternoon the Seawolves will be hosting the League of YES. Come down and support your Seawolves as they kick off the 2018-19 season!
All home games are played at The Rinx in Hauppauge, 660 Terry Road.
