The Seawolves’ 2018-19 campaign came to an end this Saturday with a 4-0 loss to the Iowa State Cyclones in Frisco, Texas.
Just a week after the team’s overtime defeat in the ESCHL playoffs, Stony Brook suffered a first-round elimination at Nationals for the second straight season. Though the Seawolves started the game with a strong offensive push, the Cyclones opened the scoring with a goal in first period to take a lead they wouldn’t surrender. A pair of second-period goals and one in the final 20 minutes secured the win for Iowa.
The Seawolves finish the season with a 20-10-4 overall record. Stony Brook Hockey will return to the ice in Fall 2019. Stay tuned on our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages for offseason updates and the 2019-20 schedule release.
