Seawolves split the season series with the Syracuse Orangemen.

The past weekend your 9th ranked Seawolves split their season series with the 13th ranked Syracuse Orangemen one game apiece. In Saturday night’s game Stony Brook scored five unanswered goals in the first two periods and never looked back, as the Seawolves rolled past the Orangemen 5-1. Sunday afternoon’s game, Stony Brook led the Orangemen 3-2 going into the third period but a sloppy third period for the Seawolves led to three unanswered goals for Syracuse and Stony Brook losing the game 5-3.
The Seawolves travel to Virginia this weekend to take on division rival, the 16th ranked Liberty University Flames on Friday and Saturday night. Stony Brook’s next home games will be Saturday, November 12th at 8:30pm and Sunday, November 13th at 3:30pm against West Chester University. All home games are played at the Rinx in Hauppauge, 660 Terry Rd. Saturday night the Seawolves will also be collecting canned food for their annual food drive. Sunday afternoon’s game Stony Brook will be raising money for the Hearts for Russ Housman Fundraiser.
