The Seawolves welcomed divisional opponent West Chester University this past weekend and swept the two game series in a convincing fashion. In Saturday night’s game, the Seawolves netted twelve goals as they cruised past the Rams 12-2. The star of Saturday’s game went to senior forward Brian Boser, for his exceptional penalty killing along with two goals and an assist.
Sunday’s game was filled with special teams play and the Seawolves capitalized early as they scored on their first three power plays. Stony Brook would control the rest of the game netting another power play goal and two even strength goals as the Seawolves beat the Rams 6-1. Sunday’s star of the game went to assistant captain Frank Sherding with two assists.
The 14th ranked Seawolves will travel to the mid-west this weekend as they take on the 12th ranked University of Colorado both Friday and Saturday. Stony Brook’s next home game will be Saturday December 10th against Draxel University at 8:30pm; that game the Seawolves will be collecting toys to bring to the Stony Brook Children’s Hospital during the holidays.
