This past weekend the Seawolves swept the weekend series with the Rutgers Scarlet Knights. Friday night at Rutgers, the Seawolves got off to a slow start but soon found their footing in the second period scoring five unanswered goals. The Seawolves would cruise to a 7-2 win against the division opponent. The star of Friday night’s game went to rookie center, Keith O’brien. Saturday night’s home game started much like Friday night’s game ended. The Seawolves led the Scarlet Knights 3-1 heading into the third period. However, Stony Brook fell into penalty trouble and Rutgers battled back but the Seawolves held on by a score of 5-3.
Stony Brook’s next games will be against division opponent, the University of Rhode Island Friday, October 13th at 9:00pm and Saturday, October 14th at 5:00pm. All home games are played at the Rinx in Hauppauge, 660 Terry Road. Come down and cheer on the Seawolves!
