On the road for the first time this season, the Seawolves traveled down to play West Virginia University. The first game on Saturday night the Seawolves routed the Mountaineers 11-0. Goalie, Derek Willms pitched his second shutout of the season and Nick Barbera tallied a hat-trick and two assists. However, the star of the game voted on by the players was defenseman, Andrew Balzafiore. As for Sunday’s game, Stony Brook got down late in the game but battled back scoring two unanswered goals to win the game 3-2. The star of this game was goalie, Todd Scarola. After this past weekend’s wins the Seawolves are 5 and 1.
This weekend the Seawolves hit the road again to play divisional opponent, Rutgers University. They will play Friday and Saturday night at 9 o’clock. Stony Brook’s next home game will be against West Chester University on Saturday October 25th and Sunday the 26th at the Rinx in Hauppauge, 660 Terry Road. Go Seawolves!
