Chris Panatier

Number 9

Chris Panatier spent four seasons as a center iceman for the Stony Brook Patriots. From 1983-1987, Panatier recorded 49 goals and 64 assists for a career total of 113 points. Panatier was a highly regarded member of Stony Brook Hockey, serving as co-captain for his final two seasons and winning team MVP in 1987. After graduation, he went into foreign exchange and worked for Cantor Fitzgerald in Tower One of the World Trade Center. Panatier was tragically lost in the terror attacks on September 11, 2001, though his legacy will live on forever. His number 9 was retired in a pregame ceremony on October 16, 2010.

Chris Garofalo

Number 10

Chris Garofalo attended Stony Brook University from 1992-1996, playing four seasons with the team. He was an offensive presence throughout his career, highlighted by his sophomore season when he averaged one goal and over two points per game. Once his playing career came to a close, Garofalo moved into an administrative role with the team. He has served as the club’s General Manager for over two decades and has been Head Coach since the 2010-2011 season. The club has reached new heights during Garofalo’s tenure, winning eleven league championships and reaching the 2015 ACHA DI National Championship game. His number 10 was retired by the club on February 22, 2003.

Anthony Fronzoni

Number 12

Anthony Fronzoni played with Stony Brook Hockey from 2000-2005. He was a valuable member of the club both on and off the ice, serving as an Assistant Captain and earning All-American honors. Fronzoni’s life came to a tragic end in a fatal car accident on October 1, 2006, but his bond with Seawolves Hockey has never wavered. Each year the Anthony Fronzoni III Memorial Scholarship is awarded to a Stony Brook student who displays “outstanding academic excellence and has made significant contributions to the Stony Brook University community through involvement in clubs, organizations, and athletics.” His number 12 was retired by the team during the 2010-2011 season.
