Seawolves raise over $37,000 on Giving Day

The 2023-24 campaign may be over, but that didn’t stop Stony Brook Hockey from securing another huge win. The Seawolves raised a total of $37,850 as part of Stony Brook University’s 2024 Giving Day on March 27. In total, Giving Day generated over $1.6 Million in donations to causes around the University.

Stony Brook Hockey was one of the initiative’s big winners, with the team receiving the most gifts with a value of $50 or more on campus. Seawolves Hockey outpaced over 120 academic units, athletic teams, student organizations, clinical departments, and other groups in this regard. Ice Hockey’s ability to generate the highest such donor total earned the program first place in the “Top 3 for SB” Donor Participation Challenge and an allocation of $25,000.

“It was incredible to see the level of support we have both on campus and in the community,” Assistant Captain Andrew Mancini said. “Thank you to all our amazing fans, we couldn’t have gotten to where we are without you all.”
